Details:

Increase your understanding of dementia and what you can do to make a difference.

Healthwatch Rochdale would like to invite you to attend their Dementia Friends Information Session on Thursday 16th January 1pm - 3pm at Rochdale Connections Trust.

The session will begin with a Dementia Friends Information Session, hosted by The Alzheimer’s Society. The session is a fun and interactive way to learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and how that understanding can be turned into action to make Rochdale a more dementia friendly community.

Following this session, Springhill Hospice will be talking about Advanced Care Planning which involves making decisions about health and care needs in advance should there become a time when you are unable to make those decisions.

There will also be an opportunity to learn more about Healthwatch Rochdale’s Enter and View programme in local care homes and the opportunities available to local residents who want to take part in these visits.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

The event is being held as part of Healthwatch Rochdale’s role to provide advice and information to the public but places are limited, and so we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment.

You can book your place by emailing info@healthwatchrochdale.org.uk or telephoning 01706 249 575.
