Details:
This month our guest speaker is John Meredith - 'On the Treacle Trail - Tales of the Spodden Valley'.
Using a story originally scripted as part of the 'Spodden Valley Revealed Project', John adopts the persona of "Dr Whitworth" an archaeologist. Through this fictional character, he brings to life many of the tales and folklore about the Whitworth Valley with which many of us are familiar.
An extremely entertaining piece of performance art.
Whitworth Historical Society have a programme of monthly lectures, which are usually held on the first Wednesday in every month, between the months of October and June, at 7.30pm.
Visit the link below for a list of talks to be held during 2020.
