Rochdale's celebration of all things food and drink in partnership with Premier Kia.

  • Star chefs cooking live in our indoor Festival Kitchen - sponsored by Bombay Brew
  • Outdoor food and drink village with covered seating area and Victorian carousel ride
  • Workshops
  • Children's entertainment on our indoor Family Stage
  • Food stalls
  • Live music and bars

With host Chris Bavin. The presenter of BBC1’s popular ‘Eat Well for Less’ and a ‘Britain’s Best Home Cook’ judge will be introducing and helping our chefs in the Festival Kitchen, meeting visitors and signing copies of his brand new book.

Cooking workshops

The Festival Kitchen and Family Stage will be located inside the Grade 1-listed Rochdale Town Hall along with plenty of stalls and things to do.

Chefs include Andrew Nutter, Stefan Gates, Tom McNeeney, Adolfus Lewis, Austin Hopley and Noo Meenan.

Activities

Some great FREE demos and workshops will be located on the ground floor of the town hall, such as a Little Hens Cookery Class, as well as events across the road at The Medicine Tap. This includes Gin tasting, Man v the Medicine Tap sausage and Cookie decorating.

Music

It's not just about the food and drink - the festival also has a host of live music on the menu as you tuck in and enjoy the mouth-watering fare. An outdoor stage accompanied by a covered seating area on The Esplanade by Rochdale Town Hall will run throughout the day.

Music throughout the day (from 12noon, finishing at 4pm) includes Joe Dunne, Katie O'Malley, 25th Hour and #Hashtag (different artists every hour on the hour).

Food and drink village

With over 30 stalls inside Rochdale Town Hall and outside at the food and drink village, you'll be able to enjoy lots of fantastic food and drink traders. With everything from tasty burgers, wood fired pizzas, spicy sausages, mouth-watering cakes, halloumi fries and the best street food around, you're in for a treat!

Car parking

FREE parking for festival visitors is available at Hopwood Hall College car park from 7.30am - 10pm on Saturday 4 April 2020. You can also find car parks located around the town centre, but some road closures and other road restrictions will be in place to run the festival safely.

Entry fee: Free entry and some free activities, book cookery demonstrations in advance
