As the dark nights draw in, your donation could bring light to the lives of our patients and their families this December. Share your special memories of the ones you love!

What is Light up a Life?

Light up a Life helps you celebrate the memories of your nearest and dearest by dedicating a light on Springhill’s Light up a Life tree, whilst your donation will help patients and families who need hospice care this Christmas.

You will receive a personalised commemorative card to display in your home, bearing the name(s) of your loved one(s), and a dedication star which you can personalise with your own memory or message.

Your 2020 Light up a Life changes:

Our 2020 service will be held virtually, allowing you to participate from the comfort and safety of your own home.

To protect you, our patients, staff and volunteers, we have had to change how our Light up a Life service will operate this year. Springhill understands the importance of you being able to reflect and remember, but we must also play our part in following Government guidelines in response to the pandemic.

On Saturday 5 December at 6pm, we will launch our Light up a Life virtual service for you to join. The virtual service will remain available to view at a time that is convenient and meaningful to you. You may be aware that we have previously displayed all dedications in our Book of Lights at the Hospice. This year, dedications will still be included in the book. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions, you will be unable to visit the Hospice to view these, however a Book of Lights will be available to view online.

Once we have received your dedication, we will send you your Light up a Life home pack. Your pack will include details of how you can access the online Book of Lights, together with the joining instructions for the virtual service, and your dedication cards and stars.

There is no minimum donation for each dedication, all we ask is that you are as generous as possible, so you can keep helping “make every moment count” for patients and families of Springhill Hospice.
