Creative Health and Wellbeing - Painting Shade and Tone: Painting Tone Using Acrylic Paint

08 December 2020

Tuesday 08 December 2020
11am - 12noon

Online via Zoom

Details:

Organised by Creative Health and Wellbeing Rochdale, join this online art group for beginners and all levels. Learn to draw, paint and other crafts and hobbies from the comfort of your own home.

During this session you will use acrylic paint to bring 2D shapes to 3D by using shade and tone.

The sessions are held online via 'Zoom' and in order to use Zoom you will require a laptop, smartphone or tablet and internet access.

When you book you will receive further instructions on the meeting but I can assure you it is really simple.

For this session we will be exploring the continuous line and why mark making is such a key skill for anyone wanting to improve their drawing. Using a continuous line you will create an abstract relaxing piece of work. Alternatively, you can work on something else if you prefer.

For this session you will require:

  • A piece of A4 Acrylic Painting Paper
  • A Pencil HB
  • A Sharpener
  • A Rubber
  • A Ruler (optional)
  • White Acrylic Paint
  • Black Acrylic Paint
  • Water Jar
  • 1 or more paint brushes (ideally 2 round headed brushes one at size 6 and one at size 12 and 1 flat at around size 16) but whatever you have will honestly be okay. I recommend The Works, The Range, and Fred Aldous in Manchester but there are gazillions of deals online.
  • Please make sure you have a sponge handy for any spillages and can get to a tap and sink easily. You want a well-lit space and somewhere you feel physically comfortable.

When you book I will send you links where you can get these items online with next day delivery for most.

Register your place using the link below.

Entry fee: £3.00 + 83p booking fee
