Details:

The Nigeria community in Rochdale will be holding a Festival of African Arts, Culture, Dance and Awards at Touchstones Rochdale.

The event will also mark the launch of the first Black History Magazine in Greater Manchester.

We see this event as a great opportunity for Africans to come together to showcase our cultural heritage to the rest of the world by celebrating the richness and diversity of culture and creativity in our community.

Our aim is not only to promote the Nigerian culture, but to learn about other cultures and promote unity and peace amongst Nigerians living in Rochdale and beyond.

We will appreciate it very much if you and your family can grace this occasion with your presence.

Guests on the day include:

  • Special guest of honour Princess Dr. Toyin Kolade, Iyalaje Oodua
  • Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester
  • Councillor Aasim Rashid, Mayor of Rochdale

Entry fee: Free
