(Whitworth Civic Hall)
Whitworth Mayor's Charity Fundraising Event.
Tenor Seán Ruane is one of the rising stars of the opera world who is returning to his Lancashire home for a night of songs from the musicals.
Highlights of Seáns operatic career include his 2004 debut at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in The Tempest. While opera remains at the heart of his work, Seán has become the voice for many of the national sporting events, singing ahead of England football internationals, the Irish Rugby Six Nations internationals and during the Ashes series. He has appeared on the bill of the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, alongside the likes of Paul Weller, Jools Holland and comedian Johnny Vegas.
On Saturday 16th October, guests can expect to hear all the classics from musical theatre and hopefully a rendition of the famous Nessun Dorma.
All funds raised will be distributed to non-profit organisations supporting residents of Whitworth at the end of the Mayor’s term in May 2022.
Tickets are available by telephoning the Ashcroft or by visiting the Ashcroft (Monday to Friday, 9am - 2.30pm), Facit Garden Centre or Whitworth Post Office. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased directly from Councillor Maureen Jones on 07794 355 610 or online via the Eventbrite link below.
