Guest speaker on 13th January will be John Turkington on Georgia O’Keefe - one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century best known for her paintings of beyond-life-size flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes, vivid bold colours and distinguished compositions.
For many years the Friends have been helping the Art Gallery to conserve and acquire paintings for the Collection. Talks by invited speakers about historic and contemporary art and craft are held most months with the occasional trip to visit other art collections.
FRAG organise monthly talks by invited speakers about art and craft and annual trips to visit other regional art collections.
All are welcome to join FRAG, which supports the visual arts in Rochdale. Annual membership is only £10 and in addition to knowing you are supporting your local art gallery, you also get discounted rates on the annual programme of talks and trips organised by the Friends and invitations to private views for all exhibitions.
