Fresh on Sunday is a platform for artists to showcase their music at Empire Rochdale.

1st artist is Midland Railway (Genre: Folk Punk)
Midland Railway play a form of nerdy folk-punk, influenced by the likes of Weezer, Bright Eyes, and The Smiths. They are based in Manchester, UK.

2nd artist is Lex Oliver (Genre: Pop Acoustic)
Lex Oliver, solo artists from Manchester, a singer/songwriter as well as a cover artist, inspired by Ed sheeran

3rd Artist is Zac (Genre: Acoustic)
Zak Heaney, lead singer of the alt rock band Ideal Forgery, adds his own twist to well-known covers as well as fingerstyle versions of his original music

There used to be a time when artists learned their craft by performing at grassroots venues and used them to build up their fanbase. Who knows next time you hear them, it could be on the radio, in the charts. Maybe you will say "I saw them at The Empire".

Any bands who would like to play at The Empire, please get in touch.
