Coordinated by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), with support from many local walking groups and charities, Greater Manchester Walking Week aims to showcase all that the region has to offer on foot. The event’s calendar features many expert-led walks, catering to a variety of interests and themes for all ages and abilities.

Come and join our 60 minute walk. If you are feeling adventurous then feel free to join our Grade 3* 90 minute walk, the choice is yours. These walks include some beautiful countryside areas and are very popular with our walking community.
Distance = 3 - 5 miles
Difficulty = Fairly easy / medium - 2 walks available for different levels of ability
Public transport = Bus stops nearby

No matter whether you’re a stroller, roamer, shuffler, moocher or a marcher the Greater Manchester Walking Festival has something for you. Back bigger and better for the fifth year, it runs from Wednesday 1 to Friday 31 May, and offers guided walks exploring towns, cities, the countryside, canals, riversides and parks across Greater Manchester.
In 2019, the aim of the event is to encourage residents of Greater Manchester to rediscover their local area, reconnect with their friends and neighbours and to get out and about more.
