Event: South Pennines Park Walk and Ride Festival - Rochdale Ramblers - Thursday Walk

Meet at Roadside Parking on Knowl Hill Drive, Norden, OL12 7RW.

DETAILS:

Moderate walk, distance = 8 miles.

Through the fields, valleys and woodlands of Norden on good footpaths. The route will allow reflection on the changes over the years that led from the 'dark, satanic mills' to 'a green and pleasant land'. Bring a packed lunch.

Rochdale Ramblers Thursday day walks are generally 5.5 to 7.5 miles, duration 3 to 4 hours.

Please note, that due to the popularity of these walks, car sharing whenever possible would reduce parking congestion.

Advise: Walking Boots, Waterproofs if needed, adequate clothing, snack and drink.

Generally dogs are not permitted, with exception of Registered Assistance Dogs, but anyone wishing to bring a dog should contact the Walk Leader in advance to obtain His/Her consent or otherwise.
