In 2018, Maeve Rendle premiered a ‘live’ performance (What cannot be turned aside) at Touchstones. For this follow-up exhibition (Sodden) Rendle revisits this work in the new form of an installation incorporating text, sound and silence.
What was previously a short time-based exploration of the alchemy of human communication in relation to recent political events, becomes a slow meditation on what could have been, or could still be.
