3pm - 4pm

Online event

DETAILS:

WHAG are inviting you to join their webinar on Wednesday 14 October, supporting you to recognise signs of domestic abuse in the workplace.

At first glance, the virus that’s swept the world may appear to have little in common with domestic abuse, but the recent news tells a different story. The UN has described the worldwide increase in domestic abuse as a "shadow pandemic" alongside Covid-19. More than 40,000 calls and contacts were made to the National Domestic Abuse Helpline during the first three months of lockdown, 80% higher than usual. With the latest government announcement asking people to work at home once again, this heightened potential for increased domestic abuse isn’t going away soon.

Domestic abuse is having a negative impact on the morale, productivity and performance of workplace teams across our county. The majority of domestic abuse happens behind closed doors and the impact on the workplace is far too frequently ignored.

We, at WHAG, are on a mission, to help business colleagues address this by taking a stand against domestic abuse. We are holding this webinar to give you the tools to help identify the warning signs, that might suggest your colleague is experiencing domestic abuse. This vital learning will be hosted by our CEO and expert staff, where you will have the chance to learn and ask questions on this vitally important topic.
