Event: Growth Project National Garden Scheme Open Day

Saturday 31 July 2021
11.30am - 3.30pm

The Growth Project
Kellett Street Allotments
Rochdale
OL16 2JU

DETAILS:

Rochdale's Growth Project is set on over an acre and includes a huge variety of organic veg, wildlife pond, insect hotels, formal flower and wildflower borders, potager and enchanted woodland garden.

See the mock Elizabethan straw bale build and station, stroll down the pergola walk to the wildflower meadow and orchard.

An oasis thriving in one of the most deprived areas of Rochdale is helping people improve their mental and physical health by getting stuck in to the joys of gardening and the great outdoors.

The Growth Project - a partnership between the charity Rochdale and District Mind and Hourglass Environment - now opens its doors annually to the National Garden Scheme.

Meet volunteers and staff members and enjoy our local produce, along with joining in some activities!

We will be offering lunches, guided tours and fresh fruit, veg, and flowers for sale, as well as homemade jams, honey and jellies.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the fruit of our labour.

Pre-booking is available via the link below. You can arrive at any time between 11.30am and 3.30pm.

Entry fee: Adults £3.50, Children Free
