Start from Heptonstall continue north west for Widdop, forking right at Slack Top for a further 5km (3 miles) to Ridehalgh Lane. The car park is 100m east of Widdop Dam. Nearest Postcode HX7 7AU

Walk distance = 9.6 miles.

Please note, that due to the popularity of these walks, car sharing whenever possible would reduce parking congestion.

Advise: Walking Boots, Waterproofs if needed, adequate clothing, snack and drink.

Generally dogs are not permitted, with exception of Registered Assistance Dogs, but anyone wishing to bring a dog should contact the Walk Leader in advance to obtain His/Her consent or otherwise.
