Blue Rose Chocolates up for Gift of the Year Award

Date published: 13 January 2018

Blue Rose Gifts & Balloons 'Personalised Pieces of Pleasure' chocolate product has been shortlisted by the National Giftware Association in the Food & Drink Gift of the Year category.

Launched late in 2017, the chocolate has become a top seller in the Heywood shop over the Christmas period and owner Beverley Heyworth is delighted with the reception it has received from the public.

She said: “Everyone who has sampled the chocolate has been enthusiastic about it. It is a unique concept not available anywhere else on the high street.

"To have been shortlisted for this national award at such an early stage after the launch is amazing.

"The coming months will see the product evolve more and hopefully lead to even greater sales and more glowing reviews as we go through the busy Valentine's, Mother’s Day and Easter periods.”

Gift of the Year honours are awarded to original and innovatively designed products that can be given as gifts.

The judges shortlist approximately 10 items per category.

One winner will be chosen from each category based on scoring by the judges. In addition, two or three products will be highly commended. These will be announced during the retailers Spring Trade Fair, held at the NEC in Birmingham in early February.
