A Norden butcher has moving premises into the former post office on Edenfield Road, just metres away from its former premises.
Phil Wildblood, of award-winning butcher Wildbloods of Norden, said: “It's a great new venture expanding the business and serving the residents of Norden.”
Chairman of Norden Environmental and Economic Village Association, Paul Ellison, added: “Wildbloods is a long-standing business in our village community. I wish Phil and the team all the best.”
Wildbloods was established in 1968 by Alec Wildblood on Milkstone Road, Deeplish, running the shop with his wife Maureen and two sons, Stephen and Philip. Branching out in 1986, Wildbloods opened its famous cooked meats and bacon stall on Rochdale market, serving up to 5,000 customers a week.
The current business opened in Norden in July 2006, providing residents, caterers and local businesses with quality local meat.
