A Bamford-based beauty salon has been voted best in the region.

Lucy Atherton, owner of The Beauty Establishment, scooped the Greater Manchester Five Star Beauty Salon of the Year Award at the North West Beauty Industry Awards 2019, on Sunday 21 July in Manchester.

The awards acknowledge and celebrate the best of the beauty industry in the region and they are voted for by members of the public.

The Beauty Establishment saw off stiff competition from a shortlist of seven Greater Manchester salons to secure the top spot.

Salon owner Lucy was also a finalist in the Beauty Therapist of the Year award category.

Lucy started The Beauty Establishment in Norden four years ago aged 23, before relocating her business to Bamford in June 2018. The salon offers a range of beauty treatments and specialises in gel nails and semi-permanent, hybrid and Russian volume lashes, attracting clients from across Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and Oldham.

Speaking about her award win, Lucy said: “This year has been incredibly exciting for my business and to win this award is a real privilege. I work extremely hard to deliver an excellent service to my clients and to have that acknowledged is a huge accolade. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
