Date published: 10 February 2020

Rochdale-based Zen Internet, the UK’s largest independently owned telecommunications and technology service provider, has appointed Jon Perkins as its Strategy Director.

Perkins, who previously spent four years at TalkTalk, most recently as Commercial Director, will be responsible for Strategy, Marketing and Product and will also sit on Zen’s Executive Committee.

Reporting directly to CEO Paul Stobart, Perkins joins at an exciting time for Zen as it seeks to establish itself as a challenger to the ‘big four’ telecoms providers.

Paul Stobart, CEO of Zen Internet said: “Jon joins at the perfect time for our business; he brings with him a great deal of relevant experience and industry knowledge and will add a new dynamic to the Zen executive team.

“Our ambition is to establish Zen as a challenger brand and a pioneer in ultrafast connectivity, cloud communications and cloud computing. I have no doubt Jon will make an invaluable contribution to the development, and successful delivery, of our evolving strategy.”

Speaking about his new role, Jon said: “I’m delighted to be joining Zen at such a pivotal and thrilling point in time for the business. Zen’s philosophy of focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and reliability is inspiring, and I look forward to playing my part in helping Zen become a challenger brand in the markets we serve.”
