Littleborough's Cannonball events announces new partnership

Date published: 11 February 2020

Littleborough-based Cannonball Events, the company behind North West events such as the Windy Hill Fell Race, Canalathon, Trailblaster and the OMC Ron Hill Accrington 10K, have announced an official partnership with iconic British brand, Kendal Mint Co.

Kendal Mint Cake was the original ‘energy bar’. It has climbed Mount Everest, crossed the Antarctic and even helped keep the army on the move. Kendal Mint Co. is a new, young, dynamic Cumbrian business, paradoxically producing a product that is more than 100 years old.

The much-loved British icon Kendal Mint Cake is made with sugar, glucose, water and peppermint oil; as well as a tasty treat, it also provides a very welcome boost of energy.

John Lloyd, CEO of Cannonball Events, said: “We are over the moon to be partnering with such an iconic British brand such as Kendal Mint Co. Their innovative new products are perfect for runners of all ability levels, but especially those which we welcome to our Cannonball Fell and Trail races. I’m sure the participants will be delighted to be supported by Kendal Mint Co and to receive energy, hydration and recovery products in their finishers bags."

Managing Director of Kendal Mint Co. Jack Barker said: “Kendal Mint Co. is very excited to be working with Cannonball Events as an official partner.

“We are so pleased to align our iconic brand with Cannonball Events who share our passion for the outdoors.”
