The new owner of Rochdale’s Eden Hair salon hopes her passionate stylists can help transform it into an iconic hub in the borough. 

Amanda Whitehead jumped at the chance to snap up Eden, located at 90 Edenfield Road, Rochdale, when it hit the market as she pursued a lifelong ambition.

And having taken over the salon, Amanda’s enticing offers are already creating a buzz in the area.

“I have always wanted to be a hairdresser,” she says. “I know it sounds a bit cliché but it’s true, so when I saw this was up for sale I put my savings into it.

“I want it to be a really good, well-known salon in the area. I want to bring it up to date – it was quite dated before.

“We want things like the all-day rollers, we want it to be modern and funky.”

Working alongside Amanda are Jenni, the assistant manager, and Danielle – both of whom have advanced hairdressing training to level three standard.

They are joined at the salon by Jessica, shortly to begin maternity leave but returning in six months, and soon-to-be qualified Rebecca.

And the team – who offer affordable cut and finishes, colour, perms, highlights, and wash & blows among others – have already launched a number of exciting offers.

Booking through Amanda or Rebecca earns a discount, while full rollers and a finish costs just £30.

The salon will also be offering Thursday specials – with ten per cent off colour done by one of their stylists.

Danielle and Jenni are also qualified to do wedding hair and Eden specialise in offering packages for every bride-to-be’s big day, including hair done on location with a bottle of bubbly thrown into the deal.

With all of Eden’s staff looking to go on training courses to further develop their skills and expertise too, Amanda feels she can offer one of the best styling services in Rochdale.

“I think I have got a really good team,” she adds. “They are very focused and very passionate about hair. They are not just coming in to go home with a wage, they take great pride and care in their work.”
