Rochdale Exchange’s Small Business Market to return

Date published: 27 November 2018

The town’s shopping centre is once again backing local traders as it gears up for Rochdale’s annual Small Business Market.

On Saturday, 1 December, Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre will be showing their support for some of the best businesses in the town, by welcoming 17 local retailers to the centre as part of a special market between 9am and 5pm.

This year the market will welcome a mix of returning companies as well as brand new ones and will including everything from stunning handmade crafts and artisan jewellery, to delicious, home-baked food and beautiful children’s clothing.

Rachel Byrne, Rochdale Exchange’s Operations Manager, is hoping the centre’s third market for small businesses will be a huge hit with shoppers. She said: “It will be a big day in the centre as not only will we be welcoming so many fantastic independent enterprises to the centre on Saturday, but our Christmas grotto will also be opening, so plenty of festive activity to keep everyone busy,”

Visitors keen to get their Christmas shopping started will have the chance to browse a range of stalls all selling a variety of bespoke products. Returning businesses such as Heaven Scent and Artisan Alley will be showcasing their selection of bath bombs and crocheted products respectively. New to the Small Business Market this year includes Copper Cup, who will be selling beautifully crafted items made out of copper and Candy Floss, specialising in a wide range of tasty sweet treats, to name but a few.

Rachel added: “There are many amazing initiatives and budding entrepreneurs in and around Rochdale and we are really proud to be able to provide them with a platform in which to bring their products to our shoppers.”
