Just a reminder to parents that if your child is on packed lunches we expect them to be made with healthy foods and this will be monitored. As part of health education and science, children also learn about nutrition and healthy eating choices. Sweets, cakes, chewing gum and fizzy drinks are not allowed in school and should not be included in any packed lunch.

We have seen an increase in the last couple of weeks of children arriving late for school in the morning and as a result missing vital teaching time. It is vital that all children are in school ready to learn from 8:50am each morning. The classroom doors are always open from 8:45 to facilitate this.

We will be holding our annual sponsored walk on Wednesday 5th July and we will be asking the children to wear blue for that day. More information will be sent nearer the time.

You will see a new face in the school office from Monday. Mrs Page will be joining us to take over the role of School Business Manager from Mr Walsh, who will be leaving us on Friday 23rd June to take up a new position at Marland Hill.

A group of our children from KS2 took part in the IPLCN cricket event on Thursday 15th June at Rochdale Cricket Club. They performed brilliantly, winning 3 out of the 4 games they played. Well done cricketers!

Next week, Year 5 & 6 pupils will be working with #Thrive on a range of mindfulness activities. Parents are invited to a workshop on Friday 23rd June at 2.30pm to find out all about the sessions.
