Early Break visit Bilal Mosque

Date published: 11 July 2017

Young people and staff from the Early Break team visited Bilal Mosque on the evening of Tuesday 4 July.

Established in 1994, Early Break is a charity with strong roots in Bury and Rochdale. Historically offering specialist substance misuse services for young persons and families, today they offer a wide variety of services to address all the needs of those they support.

The initiative was organised by Rochdale Association of Private Hire Drivers (RAPHD) to give young people the opportunity to visit the mosque and ask questions about the Islamic faith.

Imam Hassanat welcomed the young people and staff before talking about the faith of Islam. The visitors also had the chance to ask questions and were given a tour of the mosque and its facilities.

A spokesperson for Early Break said: “Young people from the Emotional Health and Wellbeing group were invited to Bilal Mosque in Rochdale. They really enjoyed the evening and learnt a lot from the experience.”

Speaking on behalf of RAPHD Tayab Nabi said: “It was a fantastic evening held at Bilal masjid bringing young people in from other faiths and backgrounds to come and seek knowledge about the Islamic faith.

"I would like to thank Bilal masjid for the opportunity to host this event.”
