Riccardo Atherton through to Voice Kids semi-finals

Date published: 12 July 2017

13-year-old Riccardo Atherton, from Rochdale, has made it through to the semi-finals of The Voice Kids.

Riccardo wowed judges and was met with screams and cheers from the audience as he performed his rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s version of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’.

All three judges, Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and McFly’s Danny Jones spun their seats around as Riccardo sang.

Choosing Pixie Lott as his mentor, the talented teen is joined by Jess Folley, Lewis Blissett and Sophia Burridge to make up Team Pixie in the semi-finals.

Each of the twelve semi-finalists will sing for a spot in the live finale at the end of July, before viewers choose the ultimate winner.

The winner will receive £30,000 towards their musical career, plus a family trip to Disneyland Paris.
