13-year-old Star Whittle is braving the shave for charity in memory of niece Gracie Greenwood
Star Whittle is braving the shave at the Falcoln Inn in Littleborough on 17 February for to raise money for Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
So far 13-year-old Star has raised £90 of her £500 target in memory of her late niece, 20-month-old Gracie Greenwood, who lost her battle with a terminal brain tumour on 1 May 2017.

Star, from Smithybridge, will be donating the entire 64cm length of her hair to the Little Princess Trust, who supply children with conditions that result in hair loss with wigs.
Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children’s cancer charity, and the UK and Ireland’s professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer.
The charity, which receives no permanent funding, helps fund and support vital research into childhood and teenage cancers to cure as many children as possible with kinder treatments, so there are less long- and short-term side effects.
