Over 50 dogs and owners took park in this fun family event on Sunday 8 April at Hollingworth Lake Visitors Centre with the dogs wearing the charities neckerchiefs, all the dogs also got a goodie bags and rosettes.

Kath O'Donnell, of the Three Amigos FUNdraising Group, based in Littleborough, said: “This event was created from Oscars love of walks and he attended every Doggy Dash for Life.

“Unfortunately, he suffered an aggressive cancer that took him on 3 November 2017. He was a very popular dog with a fantastic, cheeky character."

The sponsored dog walk is a fun family event around Hollingworth Lake, where participants could walk, jog or run for Cancer Research UK.

There was also a tombola stall and prizes for best fancy dress and most sponsor money collected.

The event was sponsored by Crown Vets.
