IT Team phones in over £3,400 for Rochdale Mind

Date published: 20 April 2018

Creative thinking from the RBH IT Team has raised £3,439 for their members’ charity, Rochdale and District Mind.

The team recently completed the upgrade of RBH's mobile devices to over 400 front-line employees. The new devices will help RBH provide a better service to our customers, and the new arrangements will also save £75,000 each year which can be used to improve RBH services.

Following this upgrade, the team were left with a decision about what to do with the old devices. The IT Team saw this as an opportunity to raise cash for RBH’s members’ charity and also offer the old devices to employees at reasonable prices, on a first-come, first-served basis, resulting in over £3,400 being raised.

A cheque was presented at the Rochdale Mind office on Drake Street, and another cheque will be presented later in the year to cover donations from other ongoing activities.

Tricia Hornby, Rochdale and District Mind Chief Executive, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the RBH Members’ Charity. We want to thank everyone at RBH for their great support and hard work. The money raised will help us continue to provide an essential service to the people of Rochdale.”
