Two armed men in balaclavas stole a substantial amount of money from a cash-in-transit van outside Santander Bank on Yorkshire Street on Tuesday evening (8 November).
One man was armed with a crowbar and threatened staff. There is no further description of the men.
It is understood the men were parked to the rear of the bank in a red Vauxhall Corsa, which was later found burnt on Goose Lane.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We are reviewing CCTV footage and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information is urged to call 101 with log number 1443 of 8/11/16.”
This is the second time Santander bank has been targeted in three weeks.
