Karen Danczuk speaks to The Sun about brother who raped her as a child

Karen Danzcuk has waived her right to anonymity and spoken to The Sun about her brother, Michael Burke, raping her as a child.

After a two week long trial, the jury of six men and six women found him guilty of raping Karen between the ages of nine and 11 at the family home in Middleton.

She told Ruth Warrender of The Sun that her brother had robbed her of her childhood.

Burke, 38, was convicted on Wednesday of eight counts of rape and one of buggery against two girls, one of whom was Karen, and a woman.

He was remanded in custody awaiting sentencing on 15 December.
