House fire on Midhurst Street

Midhurst Street, Rochdale
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze at house on Midhurst Street, Rochdale on Saturday.
Six firefighters used three hose reels to tackle the fire and positive pressure ventilation fans were also used to clear smoke.
Carbon monoxide readings were taken at the property and also at six neighbouring houses and occupants of two adjacent properties were advised to attend hospital after showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. They did not attend hospital.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
