Liz McInnes gets her running shoes on for Lee Rigby Foundation

Date published: 20 May 2017

Liz McInnes, Labour candidate for Heywood and Middleton in the general election, will be running the Manchester 10k on Sunday 28 May to raise money for the Lee Rigby Foundation.

Ms McInnes has taken part in the run regularly since 2009 and has previously raised money for local causes including Springhill Hospice and Pennine Acute Hospitals Charity.

She says: "The Lee Rigby Foundation was set up in memory of Lee by his parents to ensure that other families and Veterans get help when they need it.

"I really support their efforts to make something positive arise from Lee's tragic and senseless death and anything I can do to help raise a bit of money towards this great cause is worth it. Please give generously."
