Date published: 27 May 2017
Hundreds of people of all ages gathered together on Friday in remembrance of all those that tragically lost their lives and were injured in the attack at Manchester Arena.
Elisia Smith, who organised the event along with friends, said: “To show respect to all the victims in Mondays tragic attack, the ones who are still lucky enough to be here with us, and the ones who sadly aren’t, especially the two lovely ladies of Royton, Alison Howe and Lisa Lees, we are trying to get a gathered together at Tandle Hills.
“Nicola DePetrillo kindly brought pink balloons along which were let off in memory of the victims.
“It was amazing to see so many and show how strong our community is.”
£4,175, and counting, was raised - all the money will go to the fund-raising for the victims’ families.
