Alex Green fighting for his life after suffering injuries on Magaluf stag party

Date published: 19 September 2017

Rochdale fireman Alex Green is fighting for his life after suffering multiple injuries whilst on his stag party in Magaluf.

Alex was only six hours into his stag party when he sustained the life-threatening injuries in a serious accident. The 26-year-old father-of-one is now understood to be in an induced coma after undergoing surgery in Majorca, with his fiancée, Rebecca Thorpe, keeping vigil at his side.

A fundraiser has been set up to raise money for his hospital treatment, as his travel insurance policy may not cover treatment costs due to Alex having alcohol in his system when he was injured. More than £26,000 has been raised so far.

The page reads: “He is in a stable condition but has not quite pulled through yet and these next few days are crucial for him.

“All donations are simply to cover the cost of his care and see him return home safely to his adored son Zach.

“Any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated and we will be forever grateful of.

“He is surrounded by family and friends who love him and pray he pulls through this in the best way possible.

“Please say a prayer for him too.”

A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman said: “We are assisting the family of a British man who was taken to hospital in Mallorca on September 16.

“We are in contact with the Spanish police and medical services.”
