Woman rescued from water by firefighters

A woman had to be rescued by the fire service after getting into difficulty trying to rescue her injured dog in water on Rooley Moor Road, Rochdale on Saturday (11 November).
Firefighters used a nine metre ladder and floatation devices to rescue the owner and her dog.
Two crews from Rochdale, two special appliances from Leigh, and the Water Rescue Unit from Heywood attended the incident.
