Mission to get gifts to underprivileged children this Christmas

Date published: 30 November 2017

A ‘giving tree’ to help ensure underprivileged children across Rochdale receive special gifts on Christmas Day has been launched by the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre.

The Exchange is encouraging shoppers to show their support for underprivileged children in the town by donating gifts for all ages through the centre’s giving tree.

The tree will be home to hundreds of tags specifying ages between 0 to 16 and gender. Shoppers will then be able to retrieve a tag, buy a gift for that category and return it to Rochdale Exchange’s centre management suite.

Lorenzo O’Reilly, Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre manager, said: “Here at Rochdale Exchange, there are plenty of places to buy presents for all age groups including B&M, Boots, Claire’s, Home Bargains, Superdrug and WHSmith. Plus, there are Mission Christmas drop off points at our B&M and O2 stores, so gifts can be donated incredibly easily.”

Shoppers can donate gifts to Mission Christmas at the Rochdale Exchange centre management suite until Friday 15 December.
