The Wizard of Oz Christmas Pantomime – Heywood Civic Centre, Sat 16 & Sun 17 Dec
Starring Coronation Street's Julia Haworth; this Christmas treat is fun for all the family, packed with great songs, brilliant dance routines and plenty of laughter. 

The Rotary Club of Middleton Christmas Float – Fri 15 Dec in various areas & Sat 16 Dec at Tesco in Middleton from 9am - 8pm
This weekend, the float will be escorting Father Christmas around the streets of Middleton again.

The Rotary Club of Heywood Christmas Sleigh – Fri 15 Dec, Sun 17 Dec & Mon 18 Dec, various areas of Heywood from 5.30pm
The sleigh will be starting its journey on Friday at Higher Lomax Lane at 5.30pm. Please see the link for more details of the journey that the sleigh will be taking.

Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day – Rochdale Borough
Businesses, schools, friends and colleagues are all encouraged to wear their Christmas jumpers for charity. Everyone who joins in and gives £2 to take part will be making the world better with a sweater. 

Festive Quiz Night – The Beach, Littleborough, 7.00pm – 9.00pm
First prize wins a meal for 4 on Boxing Day.

Christmas Brass Band Evening - Gordon Rigg Garden Centre Rochdale, 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Come and join our fabulous, festive event and witness the talented Littleborough Brass Band in action! Complete with pie & pea supper, tea or coffee and a delicious mince pie.

Live Band: Ska Face – Empire Rochdale, 8.00pm – 4.00am
Formed from the desire to return to the classic sounds of our youth, Ska Face contain ten individual members with a combined age of over 450 years between them.

Christmas Cracker Show – Brickcroft Social Club, 7.00pm
Soul/Motown/Northern soul tribute show starring Ollie Mulkeen, Johnny Sax and Sasha plus more special guests at our ‘disco from the decades’. There is also bingo and a raffle.

Defend our Democracy Protest – Rochdale Town Hall, 9.30am
Tired of Rochdale's rotten political system and its politicians? Tired of your councillor or MP failing to reply to emails or calls? Join our protest.

Gin Night and Live Band: The Boutiques – The Flying Horse Hotel, 8.00pm
Hosting our very own Gin pop up bar whilst you listen to a great Classic covers band.

Cabin of Curiosity – Touchstones Rochdale, 11.00am – 12noon
Professor Jigget - explorer, goblin scientist and storyteller - has lost all the presents meant for his magical and nonsensical friends but he hasn’t got the time to find them. Who can find them? 

Save Samantha Fundraising Photoshoot with Santa – Photography by Karl, 10.00am – 2.00pm
Includes 10" chocolate Santa as a gift for your little one, a 10 minute slot to meet and chat with Santa for each family, one high resolution digital image for you to keep and a portrait voucher with a 10x8 mounted print included (RRP £75).

Rochdale AFC v Oxford United – Crown Oil Arena, 3.00pm kick off
Bring the kids along early so they can attend our free Christmas Workshop! Children can make their own Christmas cards, gliders and reindeer dust, and will receive sweets!

Community Film Club – Bamford Chapel and Norden URC – 2.00pm and 6.45pm
At 2pm there will be a showing of the 2016 hit musical film 'Sing' (rated PG) for all the family and at 6.45pm there will be a showing of the classic Christmas film 'It's a Wonderful Life' (PG).

Villages Unite Christmas Party for the Elderly – Butterworth Hall, 1.00pm
An annual Christmas party for the elderly who are lonely, vulnerable or bereaved in Milnrow and Newhey.

Ladies Night Christmas Special – Empire Rochdale, 8.00pm – 4.00am
Ready for a cracker of a girl’s night out? Your frost is gonna get melted!

Gem Appeal Charity: Christmas Themed Ladies Afternoon Tea – Clock Tower Restaurant, 2.00pm – 4.00pm
A great start to the Christmas festivities! Please join us for a fun filled afternoon raising money for the charity.

Christmas Sand Art – Hallfold United Reformed Church, 2.00pm – 3.00pm
Decorate as much or as little as you like in your 1-hour time slot.

Muhammed (PBUH) Guide for the Global Community – Madina Mosque and Community Centre, 11.00am – 4.00pm
The mosque will have exhibits and posters outlining the life of the Prophet Muhammad and how his message of peace, unity and social equality was the same message as the previous Prophets of God Almighty such as Abraham, Moses and Jesus.

Meet Santa – Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre, 11.00am – 3.30pm
Santa Claus will be taking his position in his grand throne on the upper shopping level to welcome shoppers and unveil their Christmas wishes.

Christmas Tipple Tasting & Christmas Ceilidh – Touchstones Rochdale, 6.00pm – 10.00pm
Wine, port, sherry and brandy; everything to get you merry for Christmas! If you’ve never been to a ceilidh before, imagine a wintry night of fun, dancing and great music from a live band. See both links for the event.

Rum Night and Live Band: Finger Blasters – The Flying Horse Hotel. 8.00pm
Hosting our very own Rum pop up bar whilst you listen to a great Crazy covers band.

Bo-Jangles Christmas Spectacular – Bo Jangles Theatre, 7.00pm – 10.30pm
An evening of special guests singing some Disney classics of Christmas! With very special guest star Marcquelle Ward (dancer in the musical Cats) and star of TV and stage productions. 

Springfield Park Model Train Rides Santa Special – Springfield Park, 12noon – 3.00pm
Featuring Santa himself with treats for all the children.

Whitworth Family Christmas Party – The Riverside (Civic Hall), 1.00pm – 5.00pm
The night will include party games, a disco and a special visit from Santa.

Memorial Christmas Tree Service – St Margaret’s Church, 6.30pm – 7.20pm
A memorial service around the Christmas tree to remember loved ones.

Sunday Club at Empire: JELA & Dazed Reaction – Empire Rochdale, 6.00pm – 2.00am
This will be JELA’s last ever gig in Rochdale as the band are splitting up in the new year! So come down and see this French indie rock trio before it’s too late.

St Peter’s Christmas Cracker – St Peter’s Church Newbold, 2.30pm
With crafts, games, a treasure hunt, lucky dip and a chance to think about the real story of Christmas.

Karaoke Sunday – The Flying Horse Hotel, open from 10.00am
Come down and join in with karaoke at the Flyer! Runs every Sunday.
