Christmas Magic at the Norton Grange
– Mercure Norton Grange Hotel & Spa, Fri 29, Sat 30 & Sun 31 Dec
We have a range of Christmas and New Year’s events that you can attend, including our New Year’s Eve family party and our Great Hall Ball!

  • Friday 29 December

Jolly Carter Gin Festival – Jolly Carter Pub, 12.00pm
Includes 4 gins from a specially chosen menu of 50 gins, with fever tree tonics/mixers and garnishes. The first 30 people will receive a complementary glass and glass charm!

Manchester Ska Foundation (End of year party) – Empire Rochdale, 8.00pm – 4.00am
Manchester Ska Foundation are a high energy, professional Ska band well known on the Two Tone Tribute Scene and have a strong following in the North West and beyond. The band always raise the roof and get the party started.

Live Band: Black Gartor – The Flying Horse Hotel, 10.00pm
Rochdale's oldest live music venue in the towns best pub (official CAMRA) hosts our very own Rock and Roll covers band.

  • Saturday 30 December

Live Music: The Soul Train – Empire Rochdale, 8.00pm – 4.00am
One of the UK's premier Northern Soul Bands that specialises in quality authentic soul! Based in Lancashire, this big 9-piece powerhouse of a band are the 100% real deal.

Live Band: Almost New Year’s Eve Party with Boomin
– The Flying Horse Hotel. 9.00pm – 1.00am
New Year’s Eve can be a massive expense with taxis, babysitters and charges on doors... Let us offer you a fantastic and already successful alternative – NYE Eve!

  • Sunday 31 December

New Year’s Eve Spectacular – Heywood Civic Centre, 8.00pm – 1.00am
Party like it’s 1920 as Heywood Civic Centre welcomes you to see in the New Year like Gatsby. Includes a live modern swing band and DJ, a 1920's themed photo booth and fancy dress is encouraged.

Live Band: Our 327th New Year’s Eve Party with The Scattering – The Flying Horse Hotel, 8.00pm – 2.00am
Food will be served until 10pm. NYE + Irish Band + Cracking Ale + Fabulous Food + Free Entry

New Year’s Eve Soul and Motown Night – Rochdale Rugby Union Club, 7.30pm – 1.30am
Too cool for yule? Let’s do New Year’s Eve instead with Motown, Stax, Atlantic, 60's Mod, Northern, Ska and 60's Reggae music.

Magical New Year’s Eve Bash – Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa, 7.30pm – 1.30am
How are you bringing in 2018? Celebrate in style and enjoy our countdown to remember! Kicking off with a champagne reception followed by a gorgeous six course dinner and then you can enjoy top class live entertainment and fun casino tables.

New Year’s Family Celebration
– The Riverside, 7.30pm
With party games, disco for all the family and a hot supper.

New Year’s Eve Party Night
– The Balderstone Club, 8.30pm until late
It is time again to say goodbye to the old year and welcome in the new. Our popular community event this year will welcome back Jennifer Ball, a lively young female vocalist.

Children’s/Family New Year’s Eve Fireworks
– Outside Rochdale Town Hall, 2.00pm – 5.30pm
Rides, a children’s disco hosted by Revolution 96.2, face painting and circus performances from Skylight Circus Arts. There will also be food and drink available to purchase as well as a firework display at 5.30pm.

Adults New Year’s Eve Fireworks – Outside Rochdale Town Hall, 10.00pm – midnight
Sets from Revolution 96.2 and ex Hacienda DJ Elliot Eastwick, followed by a live performance from the Suburban Swing Orchestra before another dazzling firework display as Rochdale Town Hall clock chimes midnight for the start of 2018.

New Year’s Eve Sunday Service
– Rochdale Unitarian Church, 10.30am
Led by Joyce Ashworth, all are welcome.
