Date published: 04 January 2018

A defibrillator has been presented to St Martin’s Church in Castleton in honour of cardiac arrest survivor, Tony Hill.

Tony, 74, from Rochdale, suffered a cardiac arrest whilst working on site at Renaker Build in Manchester. Fortunately, he was saved due to the quick actions of his colleagues and a recently-installed AED.

St Martin’s Church was chosen by Tony to service the local community.

The defibrillator was presented on Thursday (4 January) by Millie McDonagh, Manager of defibshop, who supplied the AED which saved Tony’s life, and Lyndsey Wescott, Managing Director of ZOLL, who manufacture the devices.
