Enjoy the outdoors this weekend
Gold and silver roadshow, writers group, aqua Tai Chi classes, an Organ concert, adult craft workshops, Sunday walks, rugby warm up fixtures, Folk and poetry night and live music - lots to do for all the family.

Lighthouse Aqua Tai Chi Class – Whitworth Leisure Centre, 9.15am – 10am
Aqua Tai Chi is a gentle and enjoyable progressive exercise that is mindful and holistic. It is suitable for all levels of fitness and you don’t have to be a swimmer.
Alkrington Writers Group – Alkrington Library, 6pm – 7.30pm
Enjoy Writing? Join our dynamic new group aimed at writers of all levels of experience, led by Creative Writing graduate Ruth-Anne Shoker.
Live Music: The Kola Kubes – Empire Rochdale, 8.00pm – 4.00am
4-piece, male fronted contemporary 80’s rock and pop covers band.
Live Music: Ryan Gilmore – The Flying Horse Hotel, 8pm
10 cask ales, 6 drought ciders, log fires and free entry as always. "The night you'll never remember from the pub you'll never forget!"
Fire Service Museum Weekly Open Day – Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum, 10am – 4pm
Fire museum attractions will be on show including our collection of historic firefighting artefacts from the 18th century to present day.

Organ Concert – Rochdale Town Hall, 12noon
Christopher Stokes, organist of Manchester Cathedral, performs on the magnificent organ of Rochdale Town Hall.
Adult Craft Workshops: Shabti Boxes – Touchstones Rochdale, 10.30am – 3.30pm
Inspired by the Ancient Egypt: Life along the River Nile exhibition, you will learn how to shape clay to form a beautiful box and then you can decorate and embellish them using different tools and techniques.
Voices for all: Butterflies Outreach – Heywood Library, 11am – 1pm
A group open to all members of the trans community and those who support them. We offer a safe supportive environment, peer-led support activities and refreshments.
Live Band: Wrong Jovi – Empire Rochdale, 8.00pm – 4.00am
Are you ready for One Wild Night with the hottest Bon Jovi tribute band on the planet? Wrong Jovi promise you exactly that. The band have been described as “the best Bon Jovi tribute band in the world”.
Rochdale Hornets v Warrington Wolves – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm
It's almost back! The pre-season campaign is underway before the Championship season gets started on 4 February.

Gold and Silver Roadshow – Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa, 10.30am – 4pm
For two days only (Sunday 14 and Monday 15), we will buy your gold and silver for cash! Simply bring us your unwanted gold jewellery, even if it's broken or has no hallmark and we will buy it from you.
Rochdale Ramblers Sunday Walks – Cornholme, 10am meeting time
Meet outside the Cornholme Community Building.
Bards of the Baum Folk 'n' Poetry Night – The Baum, 7.30pm
All are welcome to either read, play, sing or simply make up the audience. Your own or others' works both acceptable.
Karaoke Sunday – The Flying Horse Hotel, open from 10am – 1am
Come down and join in with karaoke at the Flyer! Runs every Sunday.
Live Band: Mixtape – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 2am
Mixtapes?... we all remember those back in the day. Some of the artists we cover include David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder, Oasis, Nirvana and many more.
