Rochdale Online developed Oldham Chronicle website launched

Date published: 14 February 2018

The Oldham Chronicle, established 163 years ago, has been relaunched online by new owner Credible Media, which also owns Revolution 96.2 radio station.

Credible Media asked Rochdale Online to adapt its highly popular online platform to enable the public in Oldham to read the news via a 21st century medium.

The result is a modern, responsive website that can be accessed 24/7 free of charge, without subscription, and adapts to be viewed on computer/laptop, tablet and mobile phone.

Along with mutiple news categories, like the Rochdale Online website, the Oldham site has business, community, jobs and property sections, along with  a 'What's On' section based on the Rochdale events diary.

Pauline Journeaux, Managing Director of Rochdale Online, said: "A huge amount of work has gone into the development of the new Oldham Chronicle website with staff at Rochdale Online and the Oldham Chronicle working together to ensure a smooth launch today (14 February).

"The close ties between Rochdale Online, the Oldham Chronicle and Revolution Radio are already proving to be beneficial."

Politicians, celebrities and readers have welcomed the return of the much-missed title.
