Spy Academy – St Peter’s Church, Fri 10 & Sat 11 August, 2.30pm – 4pm

Come and learn to be apprentice spies making gadgets, singing songs, playing games and listen to Bible stories.

Enantios: Solo Show by K. Lyons – Ebor Studio, Littleborough, Fri 10, Sat 11 & Sun 12 August, various times 

Enantios (meaning opposite) is an exhibition of drawing and sculpture by Kara Lyons that employs the process of mirroring.

Status 4 Leisue Garden Fundraising – Deeplish Community Centre, 10am – 4pm

A fun packed day full of face painting, ice bucket challenge, making plants and free refreshments!

Summer Fun: Dinosaur Slime – Middleton Shopping Centre, 11am - 3pm

Take a trip to the birth of the earth and make a label for a tub of fossil fungus and colour their favourite Dino.

BorrowBox at Littleborough Library – Littleborough Libray, 2pm – 4pm

Drop in and bring your devices and download some great titles for everyday reads or holidays.

Rock Night – Cask and Feather, 8pm

Come on down and let's rock it.

Live Music: The Whiskey Shiskers – The Flying Horse, 8pm – 1.30am

Official feel good warm up with free entry! This band landed a role in ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ and were voted number 1 country/bluegrass band in Austin, Texas this year!

Live Band: Tribute to Red Hot Chilli Peppers & Pearl Jam – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

The band features four vastly experienced musicians who were drawn together by a love of funk and a vision to bring the raw energy and power to the masses.

Rochdale AFC v Peterborough United, 3pm kick off, Crown Oil Arena

Got a youngster? Why not join us in the family area, which is located in the Pearl Street Stand.

Heywood Model Railway Group Open Day - 10am - 4pm, Unit 3 Park Works, River Street, Heywood, OL10 4AB

Look at our model layouts, N, 00 or 0 gauges on our large continuous run layouts and get inspiration for you own models. You can always run some of the club stock on the various layouts if you feel like having a go.

One Day Kayak/Canoe Course at Hollingworth Lake - 9.30am - 4.30pm, Hollingworth Lake Activity Centre

Live Band: Ma Kelly's Boys - Empire Rochdale

Status Quo tribute - Ma Kelly's Boys are probably the UK's only non-tribute band that plays solely the QUO boogie from the golden years of 1970 to 1976, covering material from the 7 albums 'Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon' until 'Blue For You". Classic Status Quo boogie like it used to be played - raw rock n roll.

Craft Market - 11am - 3pm, Littleborough Coach House

The Coach House is running a new series of its own Craft Fairs on a quarterly basis t

Summer Fun Days in Middleton Gardens - 11am - 2pm, Middleton Gardens, Middleton

These FREE  family fun events are on from 11am until 2pm and include a 'play' sand pit,  sandcastle building competitions, Punch and Judy shows, a magician and face painting.  Everything you need to be 'beside the seaside'.

Cask Factor (Karaoke Competition) - 8pm, Cask and Feather, 1 Oldham Road, Rochdale

Karaoke Competition - £1,000 in cash prizes to be won, top 10 places. All you need to do to enter is come down on Saturday night and sing a song to get a golden ticket through to the next round.

Growth Project Open Day - 11.30am - 3.30pm, Kellett Street Allotments

Kellett St Allotments boasts beautiful flowers, organic vegetables, interesting sculptures, home made food and drinks, plus produce for sale including jams made from fruit grown on the allotment.

The Big Games - 11pm - 5pm, Broadfield Park

The focus is on children and families and all activities are FREE - just turn up. There's something for all ages, and taster sessions will run throughout the days.

A variety of activities will be available including InflatableS, Footgolf, Zumba session, Tennis, Football, Cricket, Health Checks, Really Wild Show, Soft Play Under 5’s area, Punch and Judy, Facepainting and Arts and Crafts.

Launch of 'Gallery FRANK' - Exhibition and Workshops, Ebor Studio and Gallery FRANK, William Street, Litttleborough

This summer, the artists of Ebor Studio are hosting a full 3 month programme of exhibitions, workshops and events to celebrate the official refurbishment and naming of our new gallery space 'Gallery FRANK'.

Littleborough Cricket Club - 2nd XI v Ramsbottom CC - 2nd XI - 1.00pm start

Playing in the JW Lees Lancashire League this season. Fixture Type = League. Division / Cup = Junior League.

Bards of the Baum Folk 'n' Poetry Night - 7.30pm, The Baum, Toad Lane, Rochdale

Those 'Bard from the Baum' meet for a folk'n'poetry night upstairs at The Baum on the second Sunday in the month.

Sunday Night at the Flyer - 8pm - 1.30am, The Flying Horse Hotel, 37 Packer Street, Rochdale

It's the legendary Sunday night at the Flyer! Sunday night is the final little drink of the weekend before the realities of life and more importantly Monday morning kicks in! Playing tunes, having a laugh and singing karaoke every Sunday since 1997.

Edgar Wood Society - Arts & Crafts in Manchester walking tour - 2.00pm - 4.00pm, Victoria Station, Under the historic wall map, Manchester

Join the Edgar Wood Society for this Summer Fundraiser, an Arts & Crafts walking tour through Manchester City centre. We'll see fine examples of architecture, sculpture, war memorials, furniture, metalwork and stained glass by Arts & Crafts practitioners such as George Wragge, Eric Gill, Basil Champneys, Edwin Lutyens and Walter Crane.
