As she prepares for her first North American tour in two decades, one of Rochdale’s most famous famous singers, Lisa Stansfield, has released a new single from her latest album, ‘Deeper’.

Featuring the actor and musician Max Beesley on vibraphone alongside Jerry Hey and his LA horn section, ‘Never Ever’ is yet another fine example of why Blues and Soul Magazine described Lisa as “an essential artist of our time” and Classic Pop Magazine as “one of the best British soul voices of the last 30 years.”

The multi-platinum artist will make her highly anticipated return to North American shores this autumn after taking to the stage in Hyde Park on 8 September for the BBC Proms In The Park.

‘Never Ever’ has already charted as the #1 most added song in the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart, thanks to electrifying remixes from Mike Cruz and Rob Hardt. The remix package is boosted by additional mixes by Brian Power and Mark “Snowboy” Cotgrove.

Back in April Lisa released her eighth studio album “Deeper,” written by Lisa and long-time songwriting partner Ian Devaney. In addition to singing on and writing the album, Lisa stepped in as executive producer, working alongside Devaney and Snowboy.

The record was acclaimed on its release and charted at number 15 in the UK Official Album Chart.

As a pop, R&B and dance music staple in the late ‘80s and throughout the ‘90s, Lisa’s music saw her top the charts on both sides of Atlantic, duet with George Michael and Queen, win multiple Brits and Ivor Novello awards, collect Grammy nominations and feature on ‘The Bodyguard’, the biggest-selling film soundtrack of all time.
