Man charged with attempted sexual assault after approaching teenage girls

A man has been charged with sexual offences after teenage girls were approached in a Rochdale park.

Shortly after 11pm on Thursday 2 August 2018, police were called to reports that a man had approached a group of girls in Broadfield Park, Rochdale and asked them for sex.

Shahid Razzaq (20/10/1976), of Rochdale, has been charged with attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity, and attempted sexual assault.

He was remanded and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 4 August.
