Feel Good Festival: Feeder interview

Date published: 18 August 2018

Rochdale Online caught up with legendary 90s band Feeder ahead of their headline set at the Feel Good Festival.

Formed in Newport, Wales in 1994, Feeder shot to fame with their debut EP ‘Swim’ in 1996 and have never looked back, enjoying 20 top 40 singles, eight top 10 albums and selling over five million records.

The duo, Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose, have played sold-out tours and headlined many festivals across Europe, such as Donnington’s Download Festival and Live 8.

Famed for their exhilarating and celebratory music, they have spent an impressive  181 weeks in the singles and albums charts over the years, with hits such as ‘Buck Rogers’, ‘Just the Way I’m Feeling’, ‘Feeling a Moment’, and ‘Tumble and Fall’.

Feeder are one of the few artists to achieve top 10 albums in the UK spanning at least three different decades, with three albums going gold (‘Polythene’, ‘Yesterday Went Too Soon’, ‘Pushing the Senses’) , and two platinum (‘Echo Park’ and ‘Comfort in Sound’).

The band are currently in the middle of a UK-wide tour following the 2017 release of The Best of Feeder, and already planning the next album.
