Heritage Open Days – Throughout the Rochdale Borough in September

During September some of the borough’s most spectacular and intriguing buildings will be opening their doors to the public. See the link below for all the Heritage Open Day events taking place.

  • Friday 14 September

Make & Take Art & Craft Group – So Northern Creative Art Studios, 10am – 12noon

For just £5, all crafting materials and expert tuition is provided.

Rochdale Gramophone Society – St George’s Church Hall, 2.30pm – 4.30pm

f you enjoy good music (both light and serious) then you are bound to find something to your taste in our programmes of recorded music.

Clue-Doh! Multi Room Murder Mystery – Rochdale Town Hall, 7.30pm – 10pm

Question the suspects. Find the clues. Solve the crime. Tickets £15/£10 and include hot supper.

Comedy Night – The Snugg, Littleborough, 8pm

Featuring four fantastic comedians and 2 for £10 cocktails.

Rhinestone Cowboy – The Glen Campbell Story – Middleton Arena, 7.30pm – 9.30pm

An evening of country and rock ‘n’ roll with high energy and an unforgettable tribute.

Live Music: The Muppeteers – The Flying Horse Hotel, music live from 10pm

A band of 5 covering Rock, Indie and Pop. Including songs from the 60’s through to modern day.

Live Music: Robbie Williams UK No.1 Tribute – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Robbie Williams fans don't miss this amazing night of music as Tony Lewis will be smashing all the hits at Empire.

  • Saturday 15 September

Car Boot Sale – The Bridge Centre, 9am – 11.30am

Charity shop and café are also open.

Scouts Fun Day – Darlington House, 10am – 2pm

Fun day for all things scouting to celebrate 110 years of First Rochdale Scouts.

Rochdale Exchange’s 40th Birthday – Rochdale Exchange, opposite River Island, 11am

We have a celebratory birthday cake, arcade style games, prize draws and lots more birthday fun for shoppers to enjoy including the Space Gem.

Make Art Summer Saturday Sessions – Touchstones Rochdale, 11am – 2pm

Join an artist-led drop-in workshop to make your own crafty creations inspired by the current Art Gallery exhibitions.

Lunchtime concert with students from Manchester University & RNCM – Rochdale Parish Church of St Chad’s, 12noon

Students playing Bass, Tenor and Pianoforte.

Mess Around Messy Play: Big Birthday Bash – Heywood Sports Village, 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Join us for party classics such as cake, balloons and ice cream, as we celebrate in messy style with foam, spaghetti and gloop and dance to a party playlist!

Rochdale AFC v Gillingham – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

Sky Bet League One match.

Wildhouse White Collar Boxing: Fight Night – Champness Hall, doors open 6.30pm

Featuring 4 title fights and 8 support white collar fights. All money raised will go to a chosen charity.

Saturday Spectacular Show – Brickcroft Social Club, 7.30pm

Chris Perry performs the ultimate Phil Collins Tribute Show plus Johnny Sax, bingo, raffle and disco.

Live Music: The Ambassadors – Littleborough Coach House, 7.30pm - midnight

An evening of music from the 50's to the 70's. Tickets £15 each.

The Duran Duran Experience – Heywood Civic Centre, 7.30pm – 9.30pm

The only UK based Duran Duran tribute band.

Live Music: Antarctic Monkeys – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Tribute to the Arctic Monkeys.

Restorative Yoga Workshop – Pure Pilates, Littleborough, 10am – 1pm

A relaxing style of Yoga which is healing and nurturing for the body.

Save Samantha Fun Day with Special Guest Jo Jingles – Jollytots, Littleborough, 12pm – 4pm

Fabulous family fun afternoon in aid of Save Samantha.

Friends of Hare Hill Park Summer Concert – Hare Hill Park, 3pm – 5pm

Welcoming Todmorden Community Brass Band. Free for all to enjoy.

Rochdale Hornets v Leigh Centurions – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

SUPER 8S - Round 5.

Brickcroft Northern Soul & Motown Afternoon – Brickcroft Social Club, 3pm

Brilliant day with fantastic tunes played on Vinyl. Fantastic afternoon of rare Soul, Northern Soul, Motown, Club Soul and Modern Soul.

Jazz on a Sunday: Wirrorleans Jazz Band – Newtown National Club, 8pm – 11pm

Doors open 7.15pm.

Sunday Night at The Flyer – The Flying Horse, 8pm – 1.30am

Playing tunes, having a laugh and singing karaoke every Sunday since 1997.
