Car fire closes three lanes of motorway

A car fire closed three lanes of the M62 on Thursday (20 September).
Three lanes eastbound between junctions 21 and 22 were shut from about 1.45pm.
All traffic was held to remove restrictions off the carriageway.
Lanes one and two (of four) were closed for recovery and clean-up following a car fire.
Lane three re-opened at 2.50pm.
