Woman and teenager taken to hospital after collision

The collision on Spotland Bridge
A woman and a teenager have been taken to hospital following a collision on Spotland Bridge on Saturday (22 September).
The woman, in her late 30s, was taken to Royal Manchester Infirmary with back pain, and a teenager was taken to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with back and neck pain. A third patient, a girl, was not taken to hospital as she had no pain.
Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, police and the fire service were all in attendance at the scene.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We were called at 5.15pm on 22 September to reports of a two-car collision near the junction of Edenfield Road and Spotland Road.
“A white Audi A3 and a black Nissan Pixo were involved.”
