Tailbacks on M62 eastbound after accident between J18 & J19

There are currently tailbacks on the M62 eastbound following a six-vehicle collision between Junction 18 and 19 on Tuesday afternoon (23 October).
All four lanes were closed but Highways England have confirmed shortly before 4pm that three lanes are now open with North West Motorway Police on scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at 3pm to reports of a collision between six vehicles at junction 19 of the M62, eastbound.
“There does not appear to be any injuries.”
Traffic England states normal traffic conditions are expected around 7.30pm and long tailbacks are expected.
