Reuse Littleborough fundraising calendars on sale

Date published: 14 November 2018

Reuse Littleborough have recently launched a 2019 calendar, featuring images of Littleborough landmarks and the surrounding area to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Incorporating images taken by local photographer, Reece Horton, the calendars are now on sale at Reuse Littleborough to pay tribute to the centenary of the First World War.

Michael Bamford, who runs Reuse Littleborough, said: “Local photographer Reece Horton spent a full day and walked about 15 miles taking pictures of our beautiful village and the surrounding area. The pictures are stunning.

“We have put them into a calendar and paid for the printing costs (from your donations) and now have around 200 for sale. They are a bargain at £5.”

With the aim of raising £1,000 for the Royal British Legion, he continued: “We need local members to help sell them. They are a great stocking filler, we can also post them out.

“If you can take some calendars and sell to friends, family or work colleagues it would help. Please call in. If just 10 people take 10, we are half way there.”

Based at the former Royal Oak Hotel, Reuse Littleborough are also selling Forever Angels calendars with all funds raised going back to the charity.

Michael said: “We have so much going out to local charities as the Christmas fairs and other fundraisers kick in.

“100% of these sales will go back to the charities and we thank you for your continued support.”

The group have previously sent two containers brimming with life-changing donations to the Forever Angels Baby Home in Mwanza, Tanzania, and also support the homeless.
